Frequently AskedQuestions — Port St. Lucie Chiropractor
Everything you need to know about chiropractic care at Tradition Family Chiropractic.
General Chiropractic
A chiropractor specializes in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal and nervous system disorders, primarily through spinal adjustments. At Tradition Family Chiropractic, Dr. Ravi Jitta uses corrective chiropractic care to restore proper spinal alignment and nervous system function, addressing the root cause of health issues rather than masking symptoms.
Yes. Chiropractic care is one of the safest forms of healthcare available. Dr. Ravi has performed over 95,000 adjustments with 13 years of clinical experience. He holds a Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic and is licensed in Florida (CH 10842). Every treatment is tailored to your specific needs and comfort level.
Traditional chiropractic often focuses on temporary pain relief. Corrective chiropractic, as practiced at Tradition Family Chiropractic, uses X-rays and advanced analysis to identify and correct the underlying structural misalignments causing your symptoms. The goal is lasting structural change, not just symptom management.
The MaxLiving 5 Essentials are the foundation of our approach: (1) Core Chiropractic — spinal correction and nervous system optimization, (2) Nutrition — anti-inflammatory eating plans, (3) Mindset — stress management and mental wellness, (4) Oxygen and Exercise — movement and fitness programming, and (5) Minimizing Toxins — reducing your body's chemical burden. Dr. Ravi integrates all five into every care plan.
Services & Treatments
SoftWave therapy is an FDA-cleared tissue regeneration technology that uses unfocused electrohydraulic shock waves to activate your body's natural healing response. It reduces inflammation, increases blood flow, and stimulates stem cell activity at the treatment site. It is non-invasive, requires no anesthesia, and sessions take about 10 to 15 minutes.
Spinal decompression is a non-surgical treatment that gently stretches the spine using a motorized table to create negative pressure within the disc. This draws herniated or bulging disc material back into place and promotes nutrient-rich fluid flow to the injured disc. It is highly effective for herniated discs, sciatica, degenerative disc disease, and spinal stenosis.
Yes. Dr. Ravi is experienced in gentle pediatric chiropractic techniques. Children benefit from spinal checks because misalignments can occur during birth, from falls, or from poor posture. Pediatric adjustments are extremely gentle and are tailored to the child's age and size.
We commonly treat back pain, neck pain, headaches and migraines, sciatica, herniated discs, whiplash, shoulder pain, knee pain, hip pain, scoliosis, and posture issues. Beyond pain conditions, chiropractic care supports immune function, digestive health, sleep quality, and overall nervous system performance.

New Patients
Your first visit takes approximately 45 minutes. It includes a comprehensive consultation with Dr. Ravi, a full spinal examination, X-rays if clinically necessary, and a nervous system scan (surface EMG). We take the time to understand your health history, current concerns, and goals.
Complete your new patient paperwork online before your visit (we will send a link when you schedule). Bring any previous X-rays or medical records related to your condition. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Arrive 10 minutes early to get settled.
Visit frequency depends on your specific condition and care plan. During the initial corrective phase, patients typically visit two to three times per week. As your spine stabilizes and holds its correction, visits decrease. Dr. Ravi will outline your full care timeline during your report of findings.
Conditions & Symptoms
Yes. Many headaches and migraines originate from misalignments in the upper cervical spine that create nerve interference and muscle tension. Corrective chiropractic care addresses these structural issues, and many patients experience significant reduction or elimination of headache frequency and severity.
Chiropractic care is one of the most effective non-surgical treatments for sciatica. By correcting spinal misalignments and reducing pressure on the sciatic nerve, many patients experience significant pain relief. Combined with spinal decompression and SoftWave therapy, we achieve excellent outcomes for sciatica patients.
Absolutely. Whiplash and other auto accident injuries are among the most common conditions we treat. Early intervention with chiropractic care is critical to preventing chronic pain and long-term damage. We work with auto insurance (PIP) and document everything thoroughly for your records.
