SoftWave therapy for Fort Pierce patients
If you live in Fort Pierce and have been dealing with a nagging shoulder, a sore heel in the morning, or a knee that will not settle down, SoftWave therapy may be worth a closer look. Tradition Family Chiropractic offers SoftWave at our office in the Tradition area of Port St. Lucie, and patients from across the Treasure Coast make the trip to see Dr. Ravi Jitta for it.
To be clear about location: we do not have an office in Fort Pierce. Our only office is at 10552 SW Village Parkway in Port St. Lucie. What we offer local residents is a SoftWave provider that also delivers chiropractic care, so both can be planned together under one doctor.
What is SoftWave therapy?
SoftWave is a non-invasive therapy that uses unfocused electrohydraulic acoustic waves. A handheld applicator delivers the waves through the skin to the area being treated. The treatment is designed to support the body's own healing response by increasing blood flow and calming inflammation in the tissue, without needles, incisions or medication.
SoftWave therapy is FDA 510(k) cleared for activation of connective tissue, treatment of pain, and improving blood supply. Most patients describe a tapping sensation or mild pressure during treatment. A session usually takes 10 to 15 minutes, and there is no downtime afterward, so you can drive home and go on with your day.
Conditions patients ask us about
Foot and heel pain
Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common reasons people ask about SoftWave. Dr. Jitta will examine the foot and discuss whether it is a good fit.
Shoulder, elbow and wrist
Shoulder pain, tennis elbow and carpal tunnel symptoms are on the list of conditions our office evaluates for SoftWave treatment.
Knee pain and arthritis
Knee pain and arthritis-related discomfort may respond to SoftWave, often as part of a broader plan that includes chiropractic care.
Back pain, neuropathy and soft tissue injuries
Back pain, neuropathy and soft tissue injuries are also evaluated. Every plan starts with an exam, not an assumption.
What happens at your first SoftWave visit
Assessment
Dr. Ravi Jitta starts with a thorough exam and uses the SoftWave device to scan the affected area, which helps pinpoint where the pain is coming from.
Treatment
The handheld applicator delivers acoustic waves to the damaged tissue for about 10 to 15 minutes. No numbing cream or preparation is needed.
Your plan
Many patients notice a change after the first session. A typical plan is 6 to 12 sessions, depending on the condition, and Dr. Jitta will explain the recommendation before anything is scheduled.

SoftWave and chiropractic care together
Tradition Family Chiropractic is a MaxLiving-affiliated family practice. Dr. Ravi Jitta, DC, often pairs SoftWave therapy with corrective chiropractic adjustments, and with spinal decompression for disc problems, so the joint or tissue that hurts and the spine that supports it are addressed in the same plan. For patients from the area this means fewer separate appointments across different offices.
